It’s not every day that you meet someone like Linda Schultz, our chief customer and clinical officer here at AllazoHealth. Learn all about Linda, including how she started her career, the role she’s in now, her personal hobbies and interests, and what’s up next.
Choosing a Career Path: How It All Started
For as long as she can remember, Linda has wanted to help people. In high school, she knew she liked science and wanted to do something impactful. Her father suggested pharmacy as a career choice, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Linda spent her college years majoring in pharmacy and became a pharmacist focused on patient outreach and education. She went on to become a doctor of pharmacy, earning her PharmD and graduating magna cum laude from Shenandoah University.
Since then, she has worked in different areas of healthcare, ranging from payers and PBMs to consulting firms and technology companies. Linda’s extensive experience gives her a unique perspective that she brings to each endeavor. As such, it’s not surprising that Linda has been a pioneer in improving patients’ knowledge of their conditions and treatments and supporting providers in using the ideal therapy for patients’ health needs.
In recent years, Linda has been an active member of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP), serving as president of the Northeast AMCP Affiliation in 2018 and 2019. She regularly speaks at industry events such as the Pharmacy Quality Alliance (PQA) Conference and contributes to relevant publications and clinical studies.
Working with AllazoHealth: What Linda Does
Today, Linda works at AllazoHealth, a healthcare technology company that leverages the power of artificial intelligence (AI) to optimize patient outcomes at the individual level. AllazoHealth’s AI targets high-risk patients who likely need more unique engagement into patient support program interventions. The AI makes predictions on the best channel, messaging, timing, and frequency for each step in the patient support journey.
When asked about her role at AllazoHealth, Linda responded, “I joined AllazoHealth because we are truly using AI at the individual level to target patients in the most optimal ways. The team is helping each person establish better health behaviors that improve their health outcomes. Advancing healthcare has always been a passion of mine and this cutting-edge role is a joy to have.”
Linda’s favorite thing about AllazoHealth is being able to pioneer unique healthcare products and services alongside creative, intelligent, hardworking people who consistently respect and support each other. She started three years ago as VP of clinical and client success and has since been promoted to her current role as chief customer and clinical officer. (Congrats, Linda!)
What exactly does her role entail? It’s Linda’s responsibility to ensure that AllazoHealth meets the healthcare industry’s needs in a clinically sound way—a perfect fit for someone who has always loved both the clinical and social aspects of healthcare.
Linda also enjoys interacting with customers on a regular basis, whether it’s a health plan, an employer group, a pharmacy, or a pharmaceutical company. Her goal is not only to ensure their needs are met but also to help customers define those needs; often, a customer will come forward with what they think they need and, together with Linda’s and the team’s expertise, uncover the true needs, goals, and pain points to address.
Life Outside of Pharmacy: Hobbies and Interests
In addition to her passion for all things pharmacy and healthcare, Linda owns and operates a boutique gifts and bookstore, Lighthouse Treasures, located in her mother’s hometown in Southern Ontario, Canada. Much like other areas of Linda’s life and work, the store’s products are inspirational and hand-selected to bring joy to others.
When she’s not focused on healthcare AI and inspirational gifts, Linda spends much of her time in Western New York, where she lives with her husband. She’s also a dedicated youth outreach leader at Live Laugh Love Ministries, does missionary work for Hearts in Action in Central America, and has been a longstanding worship team member and social services volunteer. Fun fact: Linda and her husband have also hosted six international exchange students from around the world whom they meet up with regularly to this day!
